Brianna Kin Music
There are certain rare musics that evoke nostalgia for the present. The duo composed of vocalist + song-writer, Brianna Kin and composer, pianist Robert Sherwood pour their emotive souls into their music. Together, the pair bring in unique articulation of melody, rolling from note to note, inspired from lives steeped in experience & feeling.
Developing a unique sound with organic blues, jazz, soul, and a well of emotional honesty, Brianna grew up mimicking the vocal stylings of Aretha Franklin, Norah Jones, Alicia Keys, Eva Cassidy, Lauryn Hill, and drew inspiration from performing in hand fulls of musical productions and singing in several church choirs including gospel choirs. She practiced voice at Springfield Community School of Music for 9 years. Brianna Kin’s current musical influences are Jacob Collier, Adrianne Lenker of Big Thief, Erykah Badu, Rufus Wainwright, Maro, and music of Broadway.
Robert Sherwood is a multi instrumentalist, songwriter and music biz veteran with decades of stage work and projects with Ryko, Sire, Warner Bros, Rufftown, Rhino and more under his belt. College hits abounded with his first band The Malarians during the old millennium and national success greeted the galactic R&B of his band Fiction into the new one. The son of a US diplomat, Robert grew up in Europe, Scandinavia and Latin America, speaks several languages and brings his multicultural richness to his craft of music. A Hampshire College graduate with a music major, Robert finds inspiration in sources as disparate as Patti Smith, Schubert, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Gershwin, XTC, Bartok and Rufus Wainwright.
Intensity and release, jazz and blues, the duo crafts an alternate emotive world forged in and made for hard, brilliant love.

Exciting News for A Happening IV: Leviathan
Cloudgaze and Eggtooth Productions are thrilled to announce that we have received a generous grant from the Markham-Nathan Fund for Social Justice to support our 2024 Immersive Arts Festival, “A Happening IV: Leviathan.”
This festival will transform the Shea Theater into an exploration of theme, hosting installations, music, theatrical performances, and movement pieces, featuring the collective contributions of over 30 local artists. Audiences will experience otherworldly environments and narratives inspired by folklore, fairy tales, horror motifs, American literature, and the mythos of the Old Testament, all of which delve into the central question guiding the festival: "What does it mean to encounter something greater than yourself and to be consumed by it?" Through this theme, we explore how a community reemerges and imagines itself after destruction and transformation.
With the support of the Markham-Nathan Fund, we are excited to create an event that complicates perspectives and fosters meaningful dialogue. We are grateful for this partnership and for the work of the Markham-Nathan Fund for Social Justice.
Thanks to the Mass Cultural Council for their vital support this year. We'd also like to thank the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts for their support in the form of a Flexible Funding grant. We couldn't do this work without you!
