Welcome Yule: A Midwinter Celebration has been warming the hearts of Western Mass. audiences for over 30 years. The show heralds the return of the light with a festive, family show filled with music, dance, songs and stories to drive the dark away. We are a company of entertainers who delight in sharing the joy we find in performing traditional songs and dances, derived primarily from northern European cultures.
This year we celebrate community gatherings held over the centuries during the winter solstice, focusing on the passage of time and the preservation of traditions.
The performance will feature our favorite wassails, carols and dances, the ancient Abbotts Bromley Horn Dance, a mummers play, stories and a chance to touch the yule log with a sprig of holly to bring good luck throughout the year. We will also perform a number of songs that are new to our company.
You’re welcome to join in on some of the songs – words will be in the program! Check us out at www.welcomeyule.org.
Come unite with the Welcome Yule family in a community festival to cheer you through the coldest days of winter and to keep you warm until spring.

Exciting News for A Happening V: The Bestiary
Cloudgaze and Eggtooth Productions are thrilled to announce that we have received generous grants from the Mass Cultural Council as well as the Community Foundation of Western MA to support our 2025 Immersive Arts Festival, “A Happening V: The Bestiary.”
This festival will transform the Shea Theater into an exploration of theme, hosting installations, music, theatrical performances, and movement pieces, featuring the collective contributions of over 50 local artists. Audiences will experience otherworldly environments and narratives inspired by Aesop's Fables, George Orwell's Animal Farm, newly imagined cautionary tales, and creature myths of all origins.
Thanks to the Mass Cultural Council for their vital support this year. We'd also like to thank the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts for their support in the form of a Flexible Funding grant. We couldn't do this work without you!
