Oncologists often advise patients to stick to their usual routines when going through cancer treatment. A Franklin County based plumber named Frank Marchand has barely taken a day off since he was diagnosed with colon cancer. Frank brought comfort to countless listeners through an interview (Life, Death, and Plumbing reported by Karen Brown) broadcast nationwide on NPR. He will open his vocal pipes and let his raw and unfiltered story flow freely on the Shea Theater stage on August 30, at 7:30 PM.

When Frank was asked what his thoughts on mortality were he replied, “I don’t dwell too much on the afterlife. If I end up in Heaven or Hell I’m sure I’ll adapt…as long as they have toilet paper…."
