ABOUT SUDS AND SONGS
The pandemic left people isolated and fragmented from their community. This event is a neighborhood gathering place where people can enjoy a joie de vivre against the backdrop of affordable food and quality music. SUDS and SONGS is an equity-driven concert series held once a month (3rd Thursdays May-Sept 2023) on the green at the Montague Village Store. Our community is so vibrant and saturated with creative people. This event provides an opportunity for connecting, networking and showcasing our community.
ABOUT THE MUSIC
>>>> VIMANA <<<<
Vimana is an instrumental jazz trio founded in 2009 based in Western Massachusetts. Brian Rodrigues, bass; Bruce Todd, drums; and Leo Hwang, guitar, create original compositions that pay homage to each of their musical influences, their individual heritages (Portuguese, American, Korean), a sense of place very much informed by the rural nature of Western Massachusetts, and reflecting this particular moment in history that is shaped by the pandemic, political and social division, ecological traumas, and yet, in all of that, moments of joy, beauty, and delight.
